Today is Palm Sunday. A little history for those who don't know... Palm Sunday occurs on the Sunday before Easter Sunday in the Western Christian liturgical calendar. It signals the upcoming end of Lent and the beginning of Holy Week. The day commemorates the spreading of palms and clothing in Jesus' path as He entered Jerusalem prior to His crucifixion.
Not meant to be rude, but I asked Chris what his family celebrated Easter for when he was growing up since his family does not go to church. He said that they celebrated Easter because it was a Hallmark holiday. Interesting.
We went to Mass this morning and received our palm fronds. As usual, I made mine into a cross.
